1974 AMX Go-Package for AMC Javelin

When it comes to both power and sales, the AMC Javelin is a forgotten classic among American muscle cars. It was the first pony

car utilized as a highway pursuit vehicle by an American law enforcement department and went on to win the Trans Am racing

series three times in the early 1970s. That's two ways of indicating it was fast. Then, in 1974, it became noticeably less quick, ironically with

the "Go Package." The previously potent 360 was detuned for the Javelin's last year and only produced 175 horsepower. A somewhat

more potent 400ci Go Package '74 Javelin AMX existed, but it is much too uncommon to be used as an engine swap candidate.
